Nutrition Assure Review – Before taking your nutrition Assure examination, make sure to review all of the material that you learned in class. You should review the basic food pyramid, how different foods affect our bodies, and how many calories we need daily. You should also review the nutrient composition table, which will tell you what each nutrient does for your body type. There may be certain foods that you need to avoid while others are perfectly healthy.
Taking Practice Exams – Once you review all of the material in your nutrition class, make sure to take a practice exam until you are confident that you know everything you need to about nutrition. This way, when you take the actual test, you will know exactly what to expect. By taking practice tests, you’ll get a good idea of what types of questions you’ll be faced with during the actual examination. You will also become a better student and be able to answer any questions that may arise on the exam.
Practice Making Quizzes – When you take the actual exam, don’t take it with the rest of the class. Instead, take your own quiz and answer it individually. By doing this, you will know ahead of time what types of questions you’ll be faced with on the exam and how to approach them. You will also understand how the test works, and you will feel more confident going into it. Many people fail the exam the first time because they are not prepared. Taking practice tests is one of the best ways to prepare for the test.
Reviewing Coursework – It is important that you spend a significant amount of time reviewing any topics that were discussed in your coursework. If there are any confusing areas, make sure you understand these areas so that you can have a clear understanding of what you learned. Many people find that the nutrition major is not fully prepared for the exam because they spend so much time attempting to understand things that aren’t really that important. Once you understand the material, you will have a much better understanding of what needs to be studied and learned.
Taking Pre-Exams – The first thing that most students get busy doing before taking the exam is taking practice tests. When taking pre-exams, always make sure that you get at least 10 minutes of undistracted time to try and memorize anything that will be asked on the test. If you are taking multiple choice tests, memorizing information is even more important since you need to select the correct answer from a bunch of options. Getting some practice tests in advance is one of the best ways to learn and prepare for the exam.
Taking Exams – You don’t have to take the entire test in one sitting. Sometimes, it is easier and better to take parts one at a time. When you take an exam, it is important that you do a couple of practice exams or a couple of weeks before you actually go take the real thing. This allows you to get the practice needed to help you not only get prepared but also to help you relax during the actual exam.
Preparing well for a nutrition exam can be one of the best ways to help ensure that you pass. If you have done all of the right things, as mentioned above, then you will have much less to nervous about once you start taking the actual exam. Once you know what questions to expect, you will be able to get started on the process of understanding the material so that you can ace the exam. In fact, you may be surprised at just how much you learned by practicing and learning by doing. In the end, this exam is not nearly as big of a deal as people make it out to be.
